Edmonton's Hip Hop History, a two-part article in Gateway
A while ago, I found a riveting feature story in Gateway, the newspaper of the University of Alberta. It attempts to track the history of Edmonton hip hop, from T.E.D.D.Y.'s late-night spins on CJSR radio in the 1980s to Hip Hop in the Park now. I've been meaning to share it with people but selfishly forgot. Please enjoy it. It's full of great insight from E-Town hip hop legends, past and present.

Or else what? Or else you'll spend 5:30 minutes listening to music not as good. Or maybe you won't spend it listening to music. Maybe you'll spend it reading Cosmo or just eating saltines. What a waste. Though, you won't know it because you won't know what you're missing (because you don't know what's good for you, because you read Cosmo and eat saltines). Still, you will have wasted your time because you did not spend it listening to Leo37's "Icarus" and "Morning", available here.
