Making Skeptically Speaking's new theme song
Tuesday, 19 January 2010 20:20
In what is my fourth visit to local science-based radio program, Skeptically Speaking, I came to chat and discuss the program's new theme song, which I wrote and rapped. The song is produced by Lithium (big ups) and recorded at reDEF's studio (even bigger ups, since he's pretty much recording my new album, which I have been calling — albeit in my head alone — Prairie Rap).
Finally, big ups to Desiree Schell and her team of quiet technology gurus and radio producers. Especially for premiering this song on the day that they have Dr. Eugenie Scott of the National Center for Science Education, a.k.a. My Home Girl 4 Life.
Download the theme song (1:00 min.).
PS: This is not the first time I have made a theme song for a radio show. Don't believe me? Wikipedia it, fool. In 2007, I made a rap for Dan Savage's Savage Lovecast. In episode #75, he raved about how this song would take the nation by storm, but alas, it was never aired again. He also thought that I was from a group and we were American and the name of the song was something completely unintelligible. Listen to it. Or download it.
