Don't strain yourself on the journalism

The only thing odder than the amount of times I Google myself per month is the moment I actually stumble upon something about me that has been written without any apparent effort. This article in the Phoenicia out of Montreal made me giggle. I kind of love how the writer didn't bother to contact me for an interview (I'm not hard to get a hold of) because, well, why bother?
The Daily Star already did all the work. Just paraphrase everything.
Seriously. Everything.
But most hilarious is the fact that the editor used the worst photo of me online, ever. The one thing not borrowed from the Daily Star's article is a picture that was taken with Mac Photo Booth. Look in the background of this photo and you'll see: My kitchen, a blanket on the floor, some pocket change on the desk behind me, my jacket thrown on the desk, a bookshelf and my bedroom closet.
I don't know what's worse: that the world can see I was living in a bachelor suite or that my mom can see that I'm a slob? What's even funnier is that they pulled it from the same website that I keep high-res, professional press photos readily available in an area of the site called "Press Photos," under the banner "Press Room." And so to actually find this clinker you'd have to dig into the chasm of a poorly developed, if not completely useless blog. To find the professional stuff, you'd have to look to the right of the screen.
And I also love the fact that in the headline, I'm not just a rapper and journalist — but a blogger! Wow. I must have had to fight tooth and nail for that Wordpress account.
Anyway, I appreciate the publicity. But please, email me the next time you have a query.
